House Concert:  Our thanks to Randal & Dave, this was a wonderful evening
Fiddler Randal Bays is well-known for his powerful and expressive traditional style fiddle playing.  Dave Marshall, from Vancouver BC, adds his subtle DADGAD guitar accompaniment plus a fine tenor banjo.  Vocalist & fiddler, Susan Waters, will join the duo in this traditional Irish House Concert.  Randal describes it this way  "The real heart and soul of Irish music is the small session in a house or pub, just a few players gathered together for some tunes and fun. You start to play, and the next thing you know, the sun is coming up. That's the feeling I try to recreate in my concerts."

Randal  has performed all over the U.S., Europe and Canada, including appearances at major festivals like the Willie Clancy Festival in Ireland.. He has recorded or performed with many great musicians, including James Kelly, John Williams, Daithi Sproule, James Keane, Martin Hayes, and Tony McManus. Randal is also an album producer and composer who's created original scores for several award-winning films and documentaries. Randal is a co-founder of the Friday Harbor Irish Music Camp in Friday Harbor, Washington where he lives with his wife Susan.

Dave lives in Vancouver BC and is not only one of the finest DADGAD guitarists you'll ever hear, he's an incredible player of several other instruments, including the tenor banjo. His guitar accompaniment is what fiddlers always wish for but rarely get; someone who knows the tunes inside out and is able to play both hard-driving jigs and reels as well as the great slow airs with equal ease and musicality.
