2012 Cove to Clover

www.covetoclover.com

The Cove to Clover is an annual fundraiser co-founded by John Nelson & Mick Purdy.
There's a 10K/5K/1K race/walk, a talent show, a pub crawl,  entertainment tent, beer garden, and shoe giveway as part of the big wkend event.  The 5K race starts at Normandy Park Cove Community Ctr and weaves up snake hill to finish at the clover line in front of  Mick Kelly's Irish Pub 435 SW 152nd St, Burien WA.  At the top of snake hill, there's a bagpiper to greet the masses and hurry them on their way.  The uprising wall near, St Francis School, was manned by Celtic Warriors from Highline High Schools' baseball team.  If you're a Boeing employee or retiree, and you participated in the 10K/5K, be sure to sign up for a gift matching donation.
The C2C is determining the final 2012 tally raised, but  proceeds from this successful event will
benefit the Highline Food bank, Hospitality House Women's Shelter in Burien, and the Highline School District.   Big thanks go out to all the volunteers who make this great event happen !

Since Mari was busy helping, she didn't capture photos of runners, the wall, or talent show.
